Regression Modeling for Recurrent Events Possibly with an Informative Terminal Event Using <i>R</i> Package <b>reReg</b>

چکیده
Recurrent event analyses have found a wide range of applications in biomedicine, public health, and engineering, among others, where study subjects may experience sequence interest during follow-up. The R package reReg offers comprehensive collection practical easy-to-use tools for regression analysis recurrent events, possibly with the presence an informative terminal event. framework is general scalechange model which encompasses popular Cox-type model, accelerated rate mean as special cases. Informative censoring accommodated through subject-specific frailty without any need parametric specification. Different models are allowed process Also included visualization simulation tools.

A semiparametric additive rate model for recurrent events with an informative terminal event.
We propose a semiparametric additive rate model for modelling recurrent events in the presence of a terminal event. The dependence between recurrent events and terminal event is nonparametric. A general transformation model is used to model the terminal event. We construct an estimating equation for parameter estimation and derive the asymptotic distributions of the proposed estimators. Simulat...
متن کاملMultivariate Frailty Modeling in Joint Analyzing of Recurrent Events with Terminal Event and its Application in Medical Data
Background and Objectives: In many medical situations, people can experience recurrent events with a terminal event. If the terminal event is considered a censor in this type of data, the assumption of independence in the analysis of survival data may be violated. This study was conducted to investigate joint modeling of frequent events and a final event (death) in breast cancer patients using ...
متن کاملJoint Models of Longitudinal Data and Recurrent Events with Informative Terminal Event.
This article presents semiparametric joint models to analyze longitudinal data with recurrent event (e.g. multiple tumors, repeated hospital admissions) and terminal event such as death. A broad class of transformation models for the cumulative intensity of the recurrent events and the cumulative hazard of the terminal event is considered, which includes the proportional hazards model and the p...
متن کاملShared frailty models for recurrent events and a terminal event.
There has been an increasing interest in the analysis of recurrent event data (Cook and Lawless, 2002, Statistical Methods in Medical Research 11, 141-166). In many situations, a terminating event such as death can happen during the follow-up period to preclude further occurrence of the recurrent events. Furthermore, the death time may be dependent on the recurrent event history. In this articl...
متن کاملMarginal Regression Models for Recurrent and Terminal Events
A major complication in the analysis of recurrent event data from medical studies is the presence of death. We consider the marginal mean function for the cumulative number of recurrent events over time, acknowledging the fact that death precludes further recurrences. We specify that covariates have multiplicative effects on an arbitrary baseline mean function while leaving the stochastic struc...
